Q. Can I add an aftermarket CD changer or MP3 to my existing factory stereo and speakers?
A. Yes, in most cases. There are several ways to attempt this,
FOR CD CHANGERS:
Adding Direct Hook Up CD Changers Application Charts.
Adding MP3 Application Charts.

For Nissan, '94's and up! 300ZX '93 and up! Units mounts in place of pocket with direct hook-up. 6 CD in dash $300, (Includes shop manufactured cable, if you purchased this changer else where and need cable $75.).
FOR AUDI You may add an aftermarket Panasonic 6 or 8 disc changer with an adapter to all Audi's '98 and up. All other Audi's '97 and older, need the factory changer.

Other options:

Buy the factory changer, $$$
Buy a portable single CD player with the car adapter kit that works through a working cassette deck
Buy the RF (radio frequency) changer, which works when the radio is tuned to a specific FM radio station, (CD's will usually sound better than regular FM, but not as great as direct hook-up).
Add an aftermarket changer with a special adapter (direct hook-up), which works provided your present factory stereo is CD ready. See Adding Direct Hook Up CD Changers Application Charts.
